An exceptional day tour along Mount Athos. The monastic state, located on the third and eastern peninsula of Halkidiki, is a self-governing part of the Greek Orthodox Church and its monuments from the Byzantine period are enjoying worldwide fame and are worthwhile to be visited.
Tickets to Mount Athos Cruise from Ormos Panagias with St Georgios boat
The traditional ship ”Agios Georgios” departs from Ormos Panagia’s port at 09.30 in the morning, sails along the Sithonia’s bays until it reaches the first destination which is Mount Athos, at the south top monastery of Saint Paul.
Then, it continues sailing along the coast heading to the North in order to see 8 more monasteries from the nearest distance allowed without crossing the borders of Mount Athos.
After this trip it will arrive to the port of Ouranoupoli or the central port of Island Ammouliani (depends on the day) for a stop which will last about an hour and a half, in order for you to be able to go for a walk, drink a coffee, have lunch in a restaurant of your choice or just for sightseeing around the area.
After an hour it will head to Ormos Panagias which is the last destination, while listening to live bouzouki on board, giving you the opportunity to dance traditional Greek dances. Our arrival at our final destination Ormos Panagias will be at 17.30.
